OUR HISTORY
Central Virginia Rental (CVR) was established in 1972 by Norman Kiser. The first center was opened in a two bay gas station at the corner of Meade Avenue and Market Street in Charlottesville, VA. In 1975, the center was moved to a larger building on Market Street and then grew again into a new location at 1139 River Road.
The Fishersville rental center was opened in 1976 and moved to its present location of 2482 Jefferson Highway in 1980. In 1985, the Staunton store was opened at 708 Richmond Road. Then in 1994, a rental center was opened in Harrisonburg at 3880 Emmaus Road.
CVR has expanded to include Tents & Events, Mini Warehouses, On-Site Storage Units, Vehicle Sales and Rentals, in addition to our wide variety of equipment for Homeowners, Contractors, Businesses, and Industry.
Since its inception - CVR's philosophy continues to be to provide excellent service with quality products for our most important customer - You. We understand and appreciate your patronage.
